Dominick Parigi, 87, of Beaumont, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beaumont. A native and lifelong resident of Beaumont, Dominick was born August 28, 1923, to Concetta Brocato Parigi and Joseph S. Parigi. He was a United States Army veteran having served in World War II, the European Theater, and the Battle of the Bulge. Dominick served under General George Patton and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Imogene “Gigi” Parigi; daughter, Staci Lawley; grandchildren, Chandler and Peyton, who were the loves of his life; sisters, Josephine Drago, Rosa Rinando, Annie Coco, Sara Marino, and Frances Fontana; and sister-in-law, Luce Parigi. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Sam Parigi; and sisters, Concetta Drago, Johanna Fertitta, and Santa Marino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 5075 Bigner Road, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Broussard’s.
