Bobbie Beryl McCorvy Hill 
August 1, 1940 - June 3, 2011

 

Bobbie Beryl McCorvy Hill, 70, of Port Arthur, died Friday, June 3, 2011. Born August 1, 1940, to Beryl Edwards and Robert McCorvy, in Port Arthur, she was a resident of the area most of her life. Bobbie enjoyed embroidering, needlework, gardening, interior design, and was known to be a serious shopper. For twenty-five years of her life, she was devoted to being a care provider to her son, Kevin, who was injured in a motor vehicle accident. Bobbie also assisted her husband in the establishment of KSET AM 1300 Radio.

 

Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, William G. “Bill” Hill of Port Arthur; son, Kelly Gene Odom and his wife, Starley of San Antonio; stepson, William G. Hill III and  Ruthi Stayton of Galveston; stepdaughter, Rene Hill Kinsey and her husband, Booster of Kingsland, Georgia; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary McCorvy Ridley and her husband, Peter of Kingwood, and Judy C. Fisher of Houston; brothers, Robert D. McCorvy and his wife, Jean of Fort Worth, and Glen T. McCorvy of Hallandale, Florida; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She is preceded in death by her son, Kevin Lynn Odom.

 

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with burial to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2011, at Broussard’s.
