Alma Love Wiggins, 94, of Hillister, died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. A native of Livingston, she was born March 4, 1917, to Mary Sally Wright and David Edward Wright.  Alma had been a resident of Hillister for thirty-five years and was a Licensed Vocational Nurse at Yettie Kersting Hospital and Mercy Hospital in Liberty for over thirty years. She was a longtime member of Hillister Baptist Church where she volunteered as custodian following her retirement.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Jo Pryne and her husband, Bill; grandchildren, Len Gay and his wife, Carol, Eddy Gay, Colton Wiggins, Keith Pryne, Sandi Winters and her husband, Mike, Lisa Gay, Melanie Hegwood and her husband, Ray, and Katy Wiggins Erickson; honorary granddaughter, Tisha Legendre; step-grandchildren, Travis Stark, Troy Stark, and Sean Campbell; great-grandchildren, Andy Gay, Ali Gay, and Briath Erickson; daughters-in-law, Bobbye Gay, and Gail Stark; nephews, Donald Williams and his wife, Molly, and Billy Wright; and nieces, Robbie Oaks, Joyce Cherry, and Jearldine Massey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sally and David Wright; husband, Roy Neal Wiggins, eleven siblings; three sons, Michael Allen Wiggins, Herschel Edward Gay, and Leonard Eugene Gay, Sr.; and her grandson, Leonard Eugene Gay, Jr.

Her funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Hillister Baptist Church, 258 FM 1013, Hillister with burial to follow at Wilkinson Cemetery in Little Cypress under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Broussard’s.
