Marshall Andrew “Butch” Mendoza, 68, of Beaumont, died Thursday, June 2, 2011.  A native and lifelong resident of the Beaumont area, Butch was born October 22, 1942, to Nedia Foux Mendoza and Carl Mendoza.  He was a retired pressman with the Beaumont Enterprise and a United States Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, JoAnn Mendoza of Beaumont; step-daughter, Shawna Rosco and her husband, Steve of Beaumont; step-son, Danny Russell Myers; grandsons, Joseph Rosco of Alpine and Michael Rosco of Beaumont; brother, Leon Tommy Mendoza of Beaumont; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at China Cemetery.  A gathering of his family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011, at Broussard’s.
