Paul Anthony Judice, 67, of Beaumont, died Monday, May 30, 2011 surrounded by his loving family at home. He was born on July 30, 1943, in Vinton, Louisiana to Blanche Landry Judice and Anthony Joseph Judice. Paul graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School, Port Arthur in 1961 and Lamar University, Beaumont with a BA in mechanical engineering. He retired from the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality as an environmental investigator and was very active in making the world a better place through his efforts with the Jason Project, Sierra Club and Clean Air and Water. He enjoyed bird watching, playing the guitar and harmonica and wrote his own music. Paul was most proud of his four children and five grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Judice of Beaumont; children, James Kevin Judice of El Granada, California, Michelle Judice Witcher and her husband, Will Clarke of Dallas, Nicole Judice Campbell and her husband, Scot of Goldsby, Oklahoma, and Joshua Paul Judice of Beaumont; grandchildren, Andrew Benton Witcher, Jack Henry Witcher, Benjamin Burke Judice, Theodore Isaac Judice, Abigail Judice Campbell; sister, Kathleen Shirey and her husband, John of North Carolina; nieces, Angie Lane and her husband, Richard of Bridge City, Robin Huffstetler of North Carolina; nephew, George Shirey of Virginia; dog, Buddy Judice; and many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marsha Judice Fuss; and nephew, Paul Wade Harrison.
His memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011, at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 4090 Delaware Street, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Luncheon reception immediately following service in Broce Hall.
