Lucille Marie Landry, 83, of Port Neches, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at Christus Hospital, St. Elizabeth in Beaumont.  She was born December 15, 1927, in New Iberia, Louisiana to Mary Estine Gonsonlin and Camille Thibodeaux.  Lucille enjoyed cooking, sewing, being creative, inventive, and most of all, being a hard worker and a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Jacob Landry and his wife, Mary Ellen of Lumberton, Richard Landry and his wife, Valerie of Port Arthur; grandchildren, John Landry, Ashley Landry Breaux, Richard Landry, Jr., Derrick Landry, Jillian Navarro; great grandchildren, Jordan Breaux and Jacob Breaux, Luke Landry, Gavin Landry, Daphne Landry, Kindall Navarro and Kinnedy Navarro; brother, Robert Thibodeaux and his wife, Ora of Nederland; and sisters,  Lilly Schexnayder and her husband, Floyd of Port Arthur, and Jean Hill of Nederland.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents; husband, John L. Landry; and daughter, Phyllis Alfaro.

Her  funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 3, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, in Groves.  A gathering of her family and friends will be Thursday evening, June 2, 2011 from   4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with a Christian Vigil beginning at 5:30 p.m., at Broussard’s.
