Anna Claudine “Claudia” Crainer, 94, of Stowell died May 28, 2011, at the Winnie Community Hospital.

A native of Fannett, Mrs. Crainer was a lifelong resident of the Stowell area. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell and Winnie Medical Center. Mrs. Crainer also enjoyed visiting and assisting at the Arboretum, bible study at the Trinity Church in Winnie, knitting caps for cancer patients and working with her flowers in her yard.

Mrs. Crainer is survived by her son, Tommy Crainer and his wife Vicki of Stowell; daughter, Paula Ann Dale of Winnie; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Crainer; one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at the First United Methodist Church of Winnie-Stowell, 1708 State Hwy 124 with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be Monday, May 30, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
