Pauline Franklin, 84, of Beaumont, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

She was born February 10, 1927, in Leesville, Louisiana, to Mamie O’Bannion Alexander and Leslie Alexander and had been a resident of the Beaumont area for sixty-three years.

Pauline enjoyed cooking, homemaking but most of all she loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Survivors include her sons, Sam Franklin and his wife, Theresa of Beaumont, and Brad Franklin, and his wife, Chloann of Nederland; daughters, Carolyn Jeane and her husband, Billy of Evans, Louisiana, and Judy Short of Silsbee; eleven grandchildren, Aaron Short, Debbie Lagrange, Paula Rogers, Lee Ann Watson, Alana Jeane, William Jeane, Darrell Franklin, Brent Franklin, Loretta Franklin, Robert Franklin, and Kristen Franklin; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Gene Alexander.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Everett Allen and Robert R. Franklin; sons, Bobby Franklin and Benjamin Franklin; and grandson, Everett Short.

Her funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1315 South 27th Street, Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Broussard’s.  Her graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2011, at Pine Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Leesville, Louisiana.
