Frank Korolko, Sr., 72, of Haines Falls, New York died May 26, 2011. Born February 6, 1939 in Catskill, New York and resident of Haines Falls, New York, Frank was the son of Frank Albert and Eleanor Ruttana Korolko. He was the owner and operator of his own plumbing business and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Haines Falls. Frank was an avid gardener, enjoyed collecting vintage vehicles, was a volunteer firefighter for thirty-five years, and is best described as being a true mountain man.
He is survived by his wife of forty-three years, Suzanne Korolko of Haines Falls, New York; sons, Frank Korolko, Jr. and his wife, Stephanie of Nederland and Paul Korolko and his wife, Janice Filion of Walworth, New York; sister, Eleanor Rooney and her husband, Don of Haines Falls; grandchildren, Caitlin, Joshua, and Regan; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Eleanor Korolko; stepfather, Tommy Easton; and granddaughter, Annabelle Lee Korolko.
A Funeral Mass will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at St. Charles Catholic Church, 211 Hardy Avenue, Nederland under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening, May 31, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
