Eunice Eve Gallet Bourque 
April 19, 1925 - May 24, 2011

Eunice Eve Gallet Bourque, 86, of Houston and formerly of Port Arthur, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Triumph Hospital in Sugarland. Born to Olivia Cormier and Walter Gallet on April 19, 1925, she was a resident of the area since 1946. Eunice attended both Lamar University and Texas A&M for a short period of time. She enjoyed cooking, eating gumbo, gardening, learning to speak Spanish, and was an avid fan of working puzzles.

 

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Bourque and his wife, Victoria, and James Bourque and his wife, Pat, all of Nederland; daughter, Brenda Tompkins and her husband, Michael of Houston; grandchildren, Nathan, Theresa, Brian, Kenneth Jr., Lisa, Cleve, Derek, Ashlynn, Emilee, Trevett, Brayton, Garret and Chris; great-grandchildren, Marissa, Miranda, Seth, and Tommy; and brothers, Clenis Gallet and his wife, Hazel of Abbeville, Louisiana, and Vernice Gallet and his wife, Devine of Kaplan, Louisiana.

 

Eunice is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Olivia Gallet.

 

Her funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with committal to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.  A gathering of her family and friends will begin 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
