Wilda Warrick Harmeson, 97, of Beaumont died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Emeritus Assisted Living in Austin, Texas.
A native of Sheldon, Illinois, Wilda had lived most of her life in the Beaumont area where she retired from the Beaumont Independent School District after thirty years. She was a charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church previously holding the position of president of the Friendship Class and the Seniors Group.
Wilda is survived by her daughter, Leanne Malone of Austin, Texas; two grandsons, Arron Malone and Thomas Malone and his wife, Kasey; two great- grandsons, T.J. and Troy Malone; and two great-granddaughters, Hannah and Heaven Malone, all of Beaumont.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Nuel B. Harmeson, a long standing architect of the Beaumont area. Wilda was especially proud that Nuel designed their church, Trinity United Methodist, and the first baptism performed was on their daughter, Leanne. Wilda remained affiliated with her church until her passing.
Her memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 21, 2011, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3430 Harrison Avenue, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at Broussard’s.
