Lucille "Momo" Marie East
October 28, 1937 - May 13, 2011

Early Friday, May 13, 2011, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Lucille Marie East went to be with her Lord and Savior, free of pain and suffering.  She followed both of her parents and her daughter, Linda Sue Nolan into eternity.

Her husband, Earl Ray East; five children and their spouses, Debbie Hanks and her husband, Tom, Sherry Foote and her husband, John, Earl East, Jr. and his wife, Penny, James East and his wife, Michelle, and Larry East and his wife, Amanda; an extensive list of seventeen grandchildren; and six great grandchildren are still here to carry on her memory and legacy.

She was born October 28, 1937, in Morse, Louisiana and was a resident of the Mid-County area for over sixty years.  Lucille married young to the love of her life and they raised six children together.  A Godly woman in purpose and drive, her desire in life was to be a good wife and mother.  She went above and beyond to be the best at both, setting examples that have and will continue to be carried through generations.

Her love, reverence and trust in the Lord was ingrained in every aspect of her life.  It’s because of her faith that her family is able to rejoice in this time, knowing she is with the Lord.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer, Winnie with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Winnie.  A Rosary will be recited 4:00 p.m. with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Broussard’s.

She was an avid collector of angels and loved what they symbolized.  Today her family takes comfort in knowing she is now in God’s collection of angels.

Proverbs 31: 28-29   Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
