Robert E. “Buster” McCauley, 80, of Kountze died on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Buster was born in San Augustine, Texas on December 30, 1930 to Willie and Minnie (Kirkland) McCauley. A resident of Kountze for the past five years, Buster had previously lived in Mid-County for more than forty years and was a retired truck driver.

Buster is preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Pete McCauley, Ethel Pontiff, Thomas McCauley, Sr., Aileen Gibson and Kathryn Kelly. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.
