Dakota Chy-anne Kojak, 13, of Warren died Monday, May 9, 2011, at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dakota was born September 13, 1997, in Picayune, Mississippi to Jeremy Louis and Christy Nichole (Rogers) Kojak. Dakota was a fun loving child who loved butterflies and the color purple. Her nickname from her family was “Nanner Bug.”

Dakota is survived by her parents, Jeremy and Christy of Warren; sisters, Destiny, Alexis, and Madyson;  brothers, Jeremy, Jr., Cameron, Patrick and Gavin all of Warren;  grandparents, Doris Palmer of Picayune, Mississippi and Helen Overall of Beaumont; great grandparents, Johnny Dolph Rogers and Frances Netto both of Picayune, Mississippi; along with numerous aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Dakota will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2011, at Allison Cemetery in Warren under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011, at Broussard’s.
