Marjorie “Margie” Helen Tobey, 85, of Hamshire died May 8, 2011, at the Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

She born June 5, 1925, to John and Annie Lewis in Gillett and moved to the Hamshire area over forty years ago.

Margie is survived by her sons, David Louis Tobey and his wife Cheryl of Davis, Oklahoma, Darrell Tobey and his wife Angie, David Wayne Tobey and his wife Shelly and Jerry Tobey all of Hamshire; grandchildren, Blake Arnold, Logan Tobey, Kandyce Armentor, Lacey Craigen, Katie Nix, Maddie Aubey, John Tobey, and Sallie Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, Ethan Tomlinson, Justin Tomlinson, Chazton Tobey, and Makala Tobey; brother, Raymond C. Lewis and his wife Nancy of Austin; sisters, Aline Crenshaw, Loraine Friddell and Johnnie V. Murphy all of Beaumont; and numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Annie Lewis; husband, Ray Tobey; and daughter, Sue Cormier.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at Broussard’s 134. W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Broussard’s. Cremation will follow at Broussard's Crematorium, 5150 Stivers in Beaumont.
