Robert “Bob” Arthur Lewis, 73, of Nederland, died Thursday, May 5, 2011.  Born January 27, 1938, in Huntington, to Elma McMullen and John Grady Lewis, he was a resident of the area for sixty-eight years.  Bob was a retired operator for Bridgestone Firestone and also managed numerous rental properties in Nederland.  He loved street rods, older style automobiles and was a member of the Spindletop Street Rod Club.  Bob was people oriented, never met a stranger, tender hearted and loved his family and grandchildren dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Lewis, of Nederland; children, Laura Ann Richey and her husband, Keith, of Fannett, and Shelley Lewis Concienne and her husband, Troy, of Flower Mound; grandchildren, Garrett Wayne Concienne, Reid Grady Concienne, and Haley Ann Richey; and brother, Joe Mac Lewis, of Buna.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Billie Jim Cain; and brother, John Grady Lewis, Jr.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.

A private family committal will be held at a later date.
