Madonna Johnson, 76, of Nederland, died Thursday, May 5, 2011.  Born December 17, 1934, in Altamont, Missouri, to Irene Mason and Edward Reed, she had lived in Nederland for thirty-seven years.  Madonna was a retired receptionist for a medical practice in Groves.  She was an avid reader and for the last twenty-five years, had loved and enjoyed traveling with her beloved husband. 

She is survived by her sons, Steven W. Johnson and his wife Mary, of Port Arthur, and Keith A. Johnson and his wife, Phyllis, of Nederland; grandchildren, Brandon Johnson and his wife Rachel, Aaron Johnson and his wife, Rachel, and Dylan Johnson, all of Nederland; and great grandchildren, Ava Johnson, and Kaydence Johnson.

Madonna is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Buddy Johnson. 

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, Saturday, May 7, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.

A private family committal will be held at a later date.
