Roy Pearce 
May 23, 1938 - April 12, 2011

Roy Pearce, 72, of Winnie died April 12, 2011, at Harbor Hospice of Beaumont.

 

A native of Shelbyville, Texas, he was born on May 23, 1938, to Theodore Roosevelt Roy Pearce, Sr. and Lilly Lorraine Haley Pearce.  Roy was well known in the Winnie-Stowell area as a carpenter, who loved to hunt and fish and loved his family and friends.

 

Roy is survived by his wife, Glenda Pearce of Winnie; sons, Scott Pearce and his wife Mellanie of Winnie, Chris Pearce and his wife, Stacie of Bedford, Jim Pearce and his wife Brenda of Vidor, Edward Pearce and his wife Anette of Lancaster and Ted Pearce and his wife Cheryl of DeSota; daughter, Ronnie Upchurch and her husband Lloyd of Vidor; the mother of five of his children, Betty Ames of Vidor;  grandchildren, Kelsey LeBlanc Pearce, Taylor Pearce, Tara Pearce, Traci Simmons, Joshua Finnefrock, Joseph Finnefrock, Elizabeth Pearce, John Hill, David Pearce, Rachel Pearce, Wesley Pearce, Alex Pearce, Amanda Pearce, Daniel Pearce, Charity Pearce, and Teddy Pearce; great-grandchildren, Jaycee Simmons, Jaymee Simmons, Jaxson Finnefrock and MaKayla Finnefrock; brother-in-law, Pat Larson; and numerous relatives and friends.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W, Buccaneer Drive with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of his family and friends will be Friday, April 15, 20011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s with a rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.
