Sidney George Daigle, Jr., 67 of Port Arthur, Texas, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Gulf Health Care Center.

Mr. Daigle, Jr. was born in Morgan City, Louisiana to Sidney and Octavia Daigle on July 31, 1943. He retired from the Shrimping industry after 50 years, and has lived in this area for the past 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his son Pat Daigle.

Survivors include his son, John Daigle and his wife Mary of Nederland; daughter, Wanda Daigle also of Nederland; sister, Ruby Fungay of Houma, Louisiana, brother, Butch Davis of Berwick, Louisiana; grandchildren, Sidney W. Daigle, John J. Daigle, Chasity Daigle, Nicholas Daigle and Dustin Daigle.

Mr. Daigle’s funeral is scheduled for 2:30 P.M. on Saturday, April 16. 2011 at Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive in Beaumont, Texas.
