William “Ronnie” Tanton, 54, of Votaw, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at his residence. Ronnie was born on January 23, 1957, in Kountze to William Henry and Joyce Ola (Knight) Tanton. He had lived all of his life in Votaw and was a logger. His family says he was the best loader man ever. Ronnie was a longtime member of Votaw Worship Center.

Ronnie is survived by his daughter, Kimberly and her husband Reverend Jason Berry;  parents, Reverend William and Joyce Tanton; grandchildren, Mikalah Berry and Josiah Berry; along with a host of other friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be 6:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Votaw Worship Center with Reverend Mike Loftin, Reverend Jimmy Charles, and Reverend Phil Love officiating. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s in Kountze.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Ronnie’s memory to Votaw Worship Center P. O. Box 190 Votaw, Texas 77376.
