Marie Johnson, 90, of Beaumont, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Village Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Lumberton. A lifelong resident of the Beaumont area, Marie was born April 28, 1920, in Village Mills, to James Ellis and Mamie Phillips Waddell.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Lyle and her husband Don of LaJolla, California;  daughter in law, Frankie Johnson of Lumberton grandchildren, Charles Johnson, Jim Johnson, John Johnson, and Don Johnson; great-grandchildren, John Robert Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Michelle Lindsey, Savannah Johnson, Collin Johnson, and Caitlin Johnson; great-great-grandchildren, Bryce Lindsey and Ava Lindsey; and special friend, Chere` Johnson.

A family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were held under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium.
