Sybil Guidry Menard, 84, of Winnie, died April 7, 2011 at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont, Texas.  Born January 14, 1927 in Branch, Louisiana, Sybil was the daughter of Lawrence and Amy Fontenot Guidry and had been a resident of Winnie since 1941.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn Menard and his wife Carolyn and Nelson Menard, Jr. all of Winnie; sister, Loretta Leger of Winnie; grandchildren, Jason Menard, Glenn Menard, Jr., Benjamin Menard, and Lynn Fleming; great-grandchildren, Anna Potter, Caleb J. Menard, Brittany Clements, Summer Menard, Caleb Menard, Brandon McDaniel, Tyler McDaniel, Benjamin Menard, Jr., Cody Menard, Chelsie Menard, Victoria Menard, and Courtland Menard;  great-great grandchildren, Kash McDaniel, and Kane McDaniel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 11, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 West Buccaneer, in Winnie with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, April 10, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
