Monte “Taysie” Krebs, 80, of Hamshire, died March 31, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.   Taysie will be remembered for her absolute dedicated service to the Winnie area community as the executive secretary for the Winnie-Stowell Chamber of Commerce and The Texas Rice Festival.   She is survived by her husband, H.L. “Scrap” Krebs; daughters Kathy Chesson and her husband Ray, and Carla Thibodeaux all of Hamshire; brother, Ed Crawford and his wife Carolyn of Fannett; sister, Betty Rollins of Hamshire; grandchildren, Jarett Thibodeaux and his wife Michelle, Jacy Thibodeaux, Shane Chesson and his wife Aimee, and Justin Chesson; great grandchildren, Trevor Chesson and Canyon Bruce.    Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 4, 2011 at First Baptist Church of Hamshire, 25304 Highway 124, with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie.  A gathering of family and friends will be Saturday and Sunday, April 2, 2011 and April 3, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Broussard’s.
