Leamon Roy Bray, 66, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at his home surrounded by his family. Born October 28, 1944, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Amelia Johnson Bray and Leamon Rufus Bray, he was a photographer and graphic artist for the Beaumont Enterprise and later became the Shipping Supervisor at Games People Play.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Bray of Beaumont; five children, Shannon Schaper and her husband James of Deerfield Beach, Florida, Reagan Bray and his wife Diane of Nederland, Larry Arnold and his wife Rita of El Dorado, Kansas, Lauri Arnold and her partner Kandi Calder, and Kevin Shannon and his wife Erin, all of Beaumont; eleven grandchildren, Ashley Cragle, Daniel Schaper, Kayla Bray, Stephanie Cline and her husband Wayne, Jennifer Wilson and her husband Dan, Tyson Arnold, Logan Arnold, Amber Calder, Ella Calder, Hayley Shannon, and Miles Shannon; five great grandchildren, Katelyn Wilson, Daniel Wilson, Gabriel Wilson, Kalei Cline, and Sawyer Arnold; sister, Barbara Smith of Lytton Springs; step-mother, Lillian Bray; step-brother, Charles; and David Gilcrease and his wife Nikko of Hurricane, Utah.
His graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2011, at Magnolia Cemetery, 2291 Pine Street, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Broussard’s. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s Crematorium, 5150 Stivers Drive, Beaumont.
