Mildred Gray Neichoy, 81, of High Island left this earth in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 31, 2011, at the Winnie Community Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, the love of her life for sixty years, Melvin Neichoy; son, Marc Neichoy and his wife Charlotte all of High Island; daughters, Melva Crump and her husband Eddie of Leander, and Melanie Newman and her husband Bill of Horseshoe Bay; brother, J. B. Gray of Orange; sister, Marie Webb of Bridge City and her pride and joy grandchild, Dr. Bo Tanner Neichoy and his wife Shelby of Gainesville, Florida and numerous relatives and friends. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Lena Gray and brother, Jerry Gray.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2011, at St. Louis Catholic Church, 315 W. Buccaneer Drive with burial to follow in High Island Cemetery under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. A gathering of her family and friends will be 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday with a rosary recited at 6:00 PM at Broussard’s.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff of the Arboretum of Winnie for the loving care that they gave Mildred during her two year stay there.

Special thanks to Dr. Nedrana Boutte and Danny Thompson, P.A., for their wonderful care they always showed Mildred and her family.
