Robert R. Richardson, 87, of Kountze died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born in Hicksbaugh, Texas on September 27, 1923, to the late C.A. Richardson and Nannie McNeely Richardson.

Robert served in the United States Army during World War II and afterward attended Sam Houston State College. He began his career working for J.B. Hooks Abstract Co. He was manager of Neches Title Co. in Beaumont, Texas, for fifteen years. Afterward, he worked as an Independent Landman until retirement ending a fifty year career in land and mineral title work.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years, Mary Frances McKim Richardson of Kountze; two sons, Robert, Jr.”Bob” Richardson and his wife Yvonne of Lumberton and Joel McKim Richardson of Kountze; seven grandchildren, Joey Richardson and his wife Kimberly, Tracy Haygood and her husband Jordan, Brandon Richardson and his wife Kristen, Candace House, Norman Bell and his wife Anita, Derek Bell and his wife April, and Piper Ayres and her husband Chad; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Carroll, Cecil, Reginald, Lyle, and Mack; and one sister, Mary Lewis McNeely of Kountze.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze.  A gathering of family and friends will be Wednesday, March 30, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
