Betty Lou Dennis, 77, of Sour Lake died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.  She was born September 9, 1933, in Port Arthur to John and Bessie (Attaway) Roach, Jr. A forty-five year resident of Sour Lake, she was a homemaker.   Survivors include her children, William R. Dennis of Sour Lake, Vincent E. Dennis and his wife Phyllis of Medical Lake, Washington, Douglas L. Dennis of Sour Lake, Howard C. Dennis of Deville, Louisiana, Winona Thames and her husband Paul of Sour Lake, and Carl Dexter Dennis and his wife Lisa of Grayburg; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Her Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2011, at her home in Sour Lake. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Broussard’s in Kountze.
