Doris Fay Jordan Achord, 79, of Port Neches died March 26, 2011 at her residence.  Born March 31, 1931 in Port Arthur, she was the daughter of Era Adaway Jordan and Louis Harry Jordan.  Doris was an office administrator with Texaco Chemical.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Flores and her husband Robert of Port Arthur; son, Bradley Achord of Port Arthur; grandchildren, Ben Clawson and his wife Elysa and Lauren and Jordan Clawson; great-grandson, Josiah Clawson; and sister, Karen Cantu and her husband Buddy of Houston.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie B. Achord; parents; and her sister, Maxine Norton.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at First Baptist Church Nederland followed by burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday evening, March 29, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
