Ronald Dean Chase, Sr., 66, of Nome, died Friday, March 18, 2011, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. He was born February 2, 1945, in Beaumont to Juna Belle Doors Chase and Norman L. Chase, Jr. Ronald had lived most of his life in Nome and owned and operated Farm Air Service. He was a remote control model airplane hobbyist, enjoyed dove hunting and loved NASCAR. Survivors include his son, Ronald Dean Chase, Jr. of Houston; daughter, Hollee McCay and her husband Todd of Austin; sister, Candy Miller and her husband Ben of South Carolina; brother, Norman Chase III of Sour Lake; grandchildren, Chase T. McCay and Carson D. McCay; sister-in-law, Rita Chase of Sour Lake; nieces, Juna Chase, Jena Chase and Tammie J. Chase Tweedel; and nephews, Tommy J. Chase, Jr. and Travis Chase. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, Donald Gene Chase and Tommy J. Chase, Sr. His funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2011, at Broussard’s.
