Frank Shellhammer, 74, of Winnie died on the evening of March 11, 2011 at Arlington Heights Health Rehab Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Born November 5, 1936 in Beaumont, he was the son of Buck and Rosa Lee Burkhead Shellhammer. 

Frank’s simple pleasures in life were operating farm equipment, mowing lawns, music and friendly waves to everyone.  He never met a stranger and enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Survivors include his brothers, Bobby Shellhammer and his wife Aline and their family of Jasper and Maynard Shellhammer and his family of Indiana; and sister, Janice Copeland and her family of Hamshire.

A special thanks to his nephew, Bubba “Son” and his wife Lisa Copeland for all the help they gave; and great nieces, Sarah and Emma.  Heartfelt gratitude to Nurse Cindy and staff at Arlington Heights Health Rehab Center.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 14, 2011 at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 134 West Buccaneer Drive, Winnie.  A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday evening, March 13, 2011 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
