Ella Jane Crawford, 60, of Fred, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Saturday, March 5, 2011.  Born in Cleveland January 10, 1951, Ella had been a resident of Fred for over thirty years. She was the co-founder and secretary of Chapel in the Pines Church in which Ella helped raise the funds to build the church. 

Survivors include her husband, Prentice Crawford of Fred; children, Melissa Jane Tyler and her husband Homer, Jr.  and Prentice Oliver Crawford and his wife Shari all of Fred, and Deloria Jean Williams and her husband Carl Allen Williams of Silsbee; grandchildren, Michael E. Hooks II, Marlena Joy Conner, Johnny Hoke, Angel Crawford, Patricia Crawford, Prentice Trey Crawford, Shannon Crawford, Colten Crawford, Joshua “Pack” Williams, Jacob Aaron Williams, and Carl Louie Williams III; great grandchildren, Michael E. “Mikey” Hooks III, Jase Randal Conner, Matic Ryan Hoke, and Brenhan Aaron Williams; brothers and sisters, Wanda Jean Trahan and her husband Robert of Orange, Margie Louise Smith of Deweyville, Roma Fechner and her husband Larry of Baytown, Leona Calloway and her husband Jimbo of Fred and Leroy Daniel Bennett.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Leon Daniel Bennett and Delores Ray Dryden; and granddaughter, Leslie Renee Crawford.
