Calvin J. Sellers, 77, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, March 01, 2011, at Harbor Hospital in Beaumont. Born October 3, 1933, in Kaplan, Louisiana, to Ovilia Hanks Sellers and Aubrey Sellers, he was a resident of the Beaumont area for many years and graduated from French High School in 1952. He worked as a machinist for Babin Machine Works for twenty years then for Unocal Refinery for eleven years.

Calvin loved woodworking and doting on his great-grandchildren.

Survivors include his children, Chris Sellers and his wife Sandy of Beaumont, Judy Hickey and her husband Ronnie of Cove, and Stephen Sellers and his wife Nancy of Vidor; grandchildren, Michael Sellers and his wife Rebecka, Shana Sellers, Matthew Hickey, Brandon Hickey and his wife Tahra, Marissa Anderson and her husband Chad, Brandon Smith, Madeline Griffin and her husband Jeremy, and Laura Lee Soileau and her husband Josh; great grandchildren, Brayden Sellers, Kyla McGill, Kendall Hickey, Lorelai Hickey, Colton Griffin, Sophia Griffin, Audrey Griffin, Ava Soileau, Kaitlyn Smith, and Keaton Soileau; sister, Vernie Perry of Houston; sister-in-law, Carolyn Arceneaux and her husband Karl of Fort Worth; and friend, Martha Tucker.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jo Nell Sellers; grandson, Shane Sellers; brother, Allen Sellers; and sister, Helen Pope.

His funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2011, with a Rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. and a Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
