Elizabeth A. “Betty” Weaver, 86, of Beaumont, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2011.  Betty was born in Liverpool, England on September 24, 1924.  After her marriage to Ed Weaver in 1949 she moved to Texas and had been a resident of Beaumont since 1965.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-eight years, Ed Weaver; parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Smith; brothers, Ted Smith, Bill Smith, and David Smith; and sister, Barbara Bagley.

She is survived by her sister, Edna Wood of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; sons, David Weaver and his wife Lettie of Beaumont and Daniel Weaver of Poolville; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

Her memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 680 Calder Avenue, Beaumont under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.

A family committal was held at Broussard’s Crematorium.

The family is very thankful for her caregiver for the past three years, Martha Petry.
