Beatrice Landry, 85, of Groves, died Saturday, February 19, 2011.  A life-long resident of the area, she was born on July 20, 1925, in Port Arthur to Nedia Delhomme Beard and Aurelian Beard.  Beatrice enjoyed sewing, gardening and caring for her family as a homemaker. 

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Owens and her husband Phil of Taylor Landing; grandsons, Marc Owens and his wife Christi and Mitch Owens and his wife Amber, all of Taylor Landing; and two great grandsons, Brady and Logan Owens.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her husband, Nolan J. Landry.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.  A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday.
