LaWanda "Lou" Devon Brocato 
October 18, 1929 - February 15, 2011

Lawanda “Lou” Brocato, 81, of Beaumont Colony, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Summer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation. Lou was born in Okemah Oklahoma, to Annie Groves and Hugh Howard Taylor.   Survivors include her daughters, Terry Willman and her husband John of Beaumont and Cheryl Brocato Blackwell of Houston; son, Chuck Brocato, Jr. and his wife Pam of Beaumont Colony; sister, Phyllis Freeman and her husband Bill of Abilene; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and longtime family friend, Donna Holmann.   Lou is preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Charles “Chuck” Brocato, Sr.; and her grandson, Blake Tyler Blackwell.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Friday, February 18, 2011, at Infant Jesus Catholic Church, 243 South LHS Drive, Lumberton, with burial to follow at Hooks Cemetery, Kountze, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 with a Christian Vigil to begin at 6:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
