Frances Kelley Shackelford Rambo, 86, of Beaumont, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. Born in Block, Texas, on February 6, 1925, to Louise Boyett and Mack Kelley, she was a retiree of Goodyear Tire and Rubber. Frances served 15 years as Post Master in Magnolia Springs and was the proprietor and instructor for Bernina Sew Right in Beaumont. Additionally, she was member of the Eastern Star in Jasper, Sour Lake and Beaumont chapters.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Shackelford of Beaumont; two sons, John I. Shackelford, Jr. of Beaumont and Larry Shackelford of Millersview; four grandchildren, Jason Shackelford, Patrice Shackelford Baugh, Luke Shackelford and Taylor Shackelford; and three great grandchildren, Skyler Shackelford, Kassidy Shackelford and Troy Shackelford.
Her graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011, at Davis Cemetery, Beulah Springs, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at Broussard’s.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Shackelford, Luke Shackelford, Taylor Shackelford, Seth Morgan and James Gonzales.
