Velma Hart, 70, of Hankamer died February 12, 2011, at the San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown.

A native of Tyler, Velma lived in the Hankamer area since 1977, where she enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and being with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Hart, Sr.; sons, Jerry Lee Hart, Jr. and his fiancé Amanda Ciasias and Charles Glen Hart all of Hankamer; brother, Carl Kilmer of Lake of the Pines; sisters, Mary Jean and Lisa Watson both of Longview and numerous relatives and friends.

A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 15th at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie. Cremation was through Broussard’s.
