Euta I. Maxwell Thomas, 98, of LaBelle died February 13, 2011, at her residence.  Born May 30, 1912 in Lafayette, Louisiana, she was the daughter of Diddier and Amanda Dugas Patin. 

She is survived by her daughter, Lou Hubert and husband Vic of LaBelle; grandson, Allen Hubert and wife Lisa of LaBelle; granddaughters, Shelia Moore and husband Sherman of LaPorte, Debbie Barker and husband Alfred of Winnie, and Gail Foreman and husband Lee of Fannett; great granddaughters, Stephanie and Kara Moore both of LaPorte, Tiffany Coffman and husband Jerrod of Baytown, Keisha Smith and husband Chris of Nederland, and Keeli Foreman of Fannett; great grandson, Chance Foreman of Fannett; and four great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis Maxwell, Sr.; her former husband, Dallas J. Thomas; and her son, Louis Maxwell, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 9894 Gilbert Road, Fannett followed by burial at Oak Bluff Memorial Park, Port Neches under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Jerrod Coffman, Ricky Maxwell, Troy Patin, Edward LeBlanc III and Danny Maxwell.  A gathering of his family and friends will be Tuesday evening, February 15, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., and a Christian Vigil will follow at Broussard’s.
