Louis M. “Buddy” Davidson, Jr., 96, of Lumberton died Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. He was born October 29, 1914, in Oakdale, Louisiana to Mabel (Adams) and Louis M. Davidson, Sr. A lifelong resident of the area, he retired as a stillman with Texaco having over forty years of service. In his early years, Buddy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening.
He is survived by his wife of seventy-four years, Anita Davidson of Lumberton; daughters, Dorothy Kiker and her husband “Buzz” of Fannett, Beverly Lucas of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Janice Jagneaux and her husband Larry of Lumberton; nine grandchildren, James D. Lucas and his wife Renita, Steve Lucas and his wife Darlene, Collene Millet, Diane Gaspard and her husband Lance, Bill Kiker and his wife Cheryl, Laura Kiker, Robert Kiker, Jeff Jagneaux, and Dana Franklin; eleven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; sister-in-law, Margaret Davidson; and nephew, Mike Davidson.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Jefferson Nursing Home and Harbor Hospice for their kindness and wonderful care given to Buddy.
