George “Stan” Stanley, 68, of Beaumont, died Monday, February 7, 2011, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth. He was born May 2, 1942, to Freda Mae Doiron and George Stanley, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of Beaumont. Stan was a truck driver for a shipping company.

Survivors include his son, George Lee Stanley of Vidor; daughter, Amy Lynn Stanley of Lumberton; sister, Algene Butaud and her husband James of Kirbyville; brothers, Stephen Stanley and his wife Gina and David Stanley, both of Beaumont; eight grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.

His funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont, with burial to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 10, 2011, at Broussard’s.
