Mable Adaway Anselmo 
May 3, 1933 - February 8, 2011

Mable Adaway Anselmo, 77, of Port Neches, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana.  Born in Beaumont on May 3, 1933, to Bernice Schexneider and David Travis Adaway, and had lived most of her life in Sabine Pass and Port Neches.  She devoted her life to caring for her family. 

 

Survivors include her son, E.C. “Chuck” Anselmo, Jr. and his wife Cynthia of Lafayette, Louisiana and David T. Anselmo and his wife Francis of Haughton, Louisiana; sister, Anna Mae Kelly; grandchildren, Angelique Eason, E.C. Anselmo III, Alberto Anselmo and Tiffany Anselmo Richardson; seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Peter Anselmo; sister-in-law, Dot Anselmo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Mable was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earnest Anselmo, Sr.; daughter, Emily Revia; mother, Bernice Schexneider; father, David Travis Adaway; and sisters, Minerva and Jinerva Adaway. 

 

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Port Arthur with E.C. Anselmo III, Alberto Anselmo, Charles Anselmo, Louis Anselmo, Charlie Anselmo and Anthony Anselmo serving as pallbearers.  A gathering of her family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Christian Vigil at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February10, 2011, at Broussard’s.
