Genevive “Gen” Morrell Arena of Beaumont died February 6, 2011.  She was born August 31, 1925.  She was preceded in death by her husband Tony Arena and her granddaughter Jeana Sharpe.  Her favorite pastimes were to be at the beach with her family, work in her yard, and play cards with friends.

Gen is survived and loved by her two daughters, Marilyn White and her husband Spencer and Sherry Ritter and her husband Jim; three granddaughters, Stacey Stanley and her husband Brian, Jessica Holmes and her husband Joey, and Toni Budaus and her husband Matt; three great granddaughters, Hannah Stanley, Madelyn Budaus, and Isabella Holmes; and two sisters, Joyce Wilson and Marie Fourt.

 Her outgoing and spunky personality will be greatly missed. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 2715 Calder, Beaumont, with entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 08, 2011, with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m., at Broussard’s.
