Linda Lucille Walton 
April 21, 1933 - February 6, 2011

Linda Mueller Walton, 77, of Beaumont died Feberuary 6, 2011, at Summer Nursing Home and Rehabilitatiion in Beaumont, and was born April 21, 1933, to Henry and Alma Mueller in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

 

She graduated as the Valedictorian of Hamshire High School in 1951, and attended Lamar University for two years where she graduated as a License Vocational Nurse. Mrs. Walton worked as a nurse the Winnie Medical Clinic for Dr. Rollo and Dr. Prudhomme in the early 1950’s. She moved to Fort Worth when Dr. Prudhomme moved his practice to that area and worked at the River Oaks Clinic until her retirement in 1974. Her favorite things were going fishing, crabbing, spending time with her family and especially liked playing cards and dominos.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard; sister, Dorothy and former husband, W. E. “Shorty” Walton.

 

Linda is survived by her brother, Henry C. Mueller, Jr. and his wife Louella of Fannett, Vern R. Mueller and his wife Julia of Winnie; sisters, Marian Hardin of Colleyville, Ruth Poskey and her husband Pat of Arlington, Patsy Holliday and her husband Buck of Houston and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Broussard’s, 134 W. Buccaneer Drive in Winnie with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4955 Pine, Beaumont, Texas. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Broussard’s.
