Camille Marie Edmonds 
September 20, 1920 - February 2, 2011

Camille Broussard Edmonds, 90, left to be our angel in heaven on February 2, 2011.  She was born September 20, 1920, in Chenier Perdue, Louisiana to Meleon and Amelia (Theriot) Broussard.  Camille moved to Beaumont in 1944 and went to work at the Fair Store.  Following many years with the Fair, she went to work for Sears for a number of years and also worked as an assistant manager at Craigs, R & S Dress Shop, and Tots and Toddlers before returning to the Fair Store until she retired. She was a longtime member of St. Anne Catholic Church.

 

  Her beautiful smile was such a blessing to all who knew and loved her. She will be missed by many.

 

  She is survived by her son, Jim Edmonds and his wife Theresa of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; daughter, Glenda Cook of Beaumont; son-in-law, Richard Cook of Beaumont; grandchildren, Vicki Magee McMillan and he husband Robert of Longview,  Sam Magee and his wife Lisa of Harlingen, Jacklyn Still and her husband Jeff of Jacksonville, Illinois, Teri Vodicka and her husband Greg of Bolivar, Missouri, Tanny Hunt and her husband Rodney of Lee Summit, Missouri, and James Edmonds of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas; great grandchildren, Gretchen Miller, Kaelee Lewis, Chance and Gentry Magee, Denise, Greg, and Brad Gebhardt, Jamie Edmonds, Cody Summitt, Nichole Cox, Madison and Hannah Vodicka; five great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Gynell; four sisters; and four brothers.

 

  A Rosary will be recited 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011, at Broussard’s, 1605 N. Major Drive, Beaumont with a gathering of her family and friends to follow. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Broussard’s Crematorium.

  The family wishes to thank all the staff and employees of Summer Place Nursing Home for their love and wonderful care given to Camille along with Harbor Hospice for their care and kindness.
