J.T. Lilley, 80, of Saratoga died Monday, January 31, 2011, at his residence.  J.T. was born July 20, 1930 in Livingston to Elbert Russell and Cora Etta (Collins) Lilley.  A fifty-seven year Saratoga resident, he was a retired logger with Lilley Brothers Logging. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Lou Lilley of Saratoga; children, Linda Griffin of Kountze and Dennis Lilley of Saratoga; sister, Faye Wilson of Saratoga; grandchildren, Justin Morgan of Kountze, Kris Lilley of Saratoga, Stacey Kirkendall of Saratoga, and Randy Lilley of Saratoga; four great grandchildren; and some very special friends whom he served along side in the United States Air Force, Willard Ogden, Clayton Lee, and Bill Shepherd.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Broussard’s, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze with Reverend Jim Cryer officiating. Burial will follow at Big Sandy Cemetery in Dallardsville, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, February 1, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m, at Broussard's.
