Jennifer Lynn Stelly, 37, of Houston, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2011, after her battle with cancer. Born in Joliet, Illinois, on May 22, 1973, to Tim and Laura Stelly, she was a 1991 graduate of Westbrook High School. Jennifer later graduated from Texas A&M University in 1996 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. She was a BodyTalk Practitioner and Instructor, and an active and past board member for the Central City Co-op.

Jennifer is loved by so many as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, friend, and confidant. Her path was not the expected one, but a rich and wandering one. She dubbed 2010 her year to be a “Wandering Gypsy”; Jennifer had the rare courage to truly reach for her dreams.

She is survived by her parents, Laura and Tim Stelly; sisters, Rebecca Schulz and her husband Mike and Deborah Stelly; niece, Ashley Schulz; grandmother, Eleanor M. Olson of Marquette, Michigan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Her memorial service will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 30, 2011, at First United Methodist Church, 701 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with Dr. Frank Alegria officiating, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of her family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m. Sunday until time of service at the church.

Her family wishes to thank all the earthly angels who supported Jennifer and her family in the past months.  Their names go unmentioned, but will always be remembered in our hearts.
