Geraldine “Nanny” Williams was born on August 7, 1921, in Claremore, Oklahoma.  She moved to Nederland in the early 1960’s, with her husband Robert Williams.  Together they built their home on California Boulevard. This location is even still a well known corner to those passerby’s that admired and visited frequently.

Geraldine passed away in Sulphur, Louisiana peacefully and surrounded with family and friends on January 23, 2011. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Williams; twin sister, Madeline Talbott, and son, Jimmie McGouldrick. 

Geraldine is survived by her grandchildren, Theresa (Terry) Lee and Larry Lee, Shawna McInnis and Mike McInnis; great grandchildren, Kristopher Anderson and Tiffany Mowrey, Christy Conrad and Chris Conrad, Jennifer Vincent and Mark Vincent, Kendall Lee and Alyssa Mayo, Summer Monteaux and David Doyl, Erin Willis and Jason Willis, Ethan McInnis and Marshall McInnis; and ten great great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Mid-County Baptist Church in Central Gardens under the direction of Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.
