Bobby Dean White, 73, of Nederland, died Thursday, January 20, 2011.  Born September 29, 1937, in Harlingen to Mildred Bush and Dean White, he had been a resident of the Nederland area for forty-six years.  Bobby was a retired pipe fitter with Local #195 and worked along side of his son for White’s Irrigation.

Bobby enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching his grandson Preston play sports and was his number one fan. He also loved to watch his granddaughters Meagan, Destinee and Brianna dance.

He is survived by his wife, Mable White; son, Anthony White and his wife Karen of Nederland; daughter, Tamera Ferguson and her husband Jack of Nederland; mother-in-law, Opal Sheffield; father-in-law, Jesse David Sheffield; brothers, Tommy White of Austin and Lawrence White of Henderson; sister, Anita Shirley of Corpus Christi; grandchildren, Meagan White, Preston White, Destinee Ferguson, Brianna Ferguson and Gavin Ferguson.

Bobby is preceded is death by his parents; and his brothers.

A gathering of his family and friends will begin at 12:00 Noon with his funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.

A family committal will be held at Broussard’s Crematorium at a later date.
