Johnny J. Fertitta 
January 19, 1918 - January 16, 2011

Johnny J. Fertitta, 92, of Beaumont, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Born January 19, 1918, in Beaumont to Vincent and Jennie Serio Fertitta, he had been a lifelong resident of the Beaumont area and retired from BF Goodrich. Johnny was a United States Army veteran having served during World War II.  He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, the Italian American Society of Beaumont, and the Knights of Columbus.

  He is survived by his daughters, Jenny Anne Bordelon and her husband Rene of Austin, Mary Busceme of Houston and Darlene Wade and her husband Teddy of Houston; sons, Conrad Fertitta and Gary Barnes both of Houston and John Fertitta, Jr. of Beaumont; grandchildren, Lauren Busceme, Sean Bordelon, Shelly B. White, Bridget Polster and Joseph Bordelon; six great-grandchildren; and many other loving family members.   His wife, Joyce Romere Fertitta preceded him in death.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 4445 Avenue A, Beaumont with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A gathering of his family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Broussard’s.   His family would like to thank the hospice workers and health care workers at Vista Oaks Assisted Living in Lakeway, Texas who helped so greatly with his care.
