Tura Mae Decker, 85, of Nederland, died Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at the Senior Rehabilitation Center of Port Arthur.  She was born January 14, 1925, in Viola, Arkansas, the daughter of Edgar and Nettie Burns. Tura worked as a waitress and hostess at Lehr’s Restaurant for forty-one years.  She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church.

Tura is survived by two daughters, Linda Langford of Batesville, Arkansas and Sharon Elms and her husband James of Nederland; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noel Eugene Decker; seven brothers, Randall Burns, Luther Burns, Horace Burns, Condral Burns, Carneil Burns, Norman Burns and Jack Burns; three sisters, Beatrice Ewalt, Lelia Williams, and Lucille Cotter.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Broussard’s, 505 12th Street, Nederland.  A gathering of her family and friends will be Saturday, January 15, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard’s.
